Yang Mansion in TianboYang Mansion in Tianbo
According to the historical record, Marshal Yang’s Mansion was the house of Yangye, who was the famous general fighting against Liao evasion, and it was named for its location at the riverside of Jinshui to Tiaobo Gate in the northwest of the Capital. In order to show respects to all the Yang family’s loyal achievements to the empire, Emperor Taizong of Song Dynasty once ordered all officials must be off wagons or horses and walk on foot when passing by this Mansion. After Yangye death, the Hall was renamed as Xiaoyan Temple as Yang’s family shrine.
The temple was ruined completely in the anti-Japanese war after many times destruction. The main building of the Hall is the Center Court. The West court is an elegant garden consisting of pavilions, rockery and brooks. The East Court is the field for Yang’s army exercise,consisting of Order Platform, General Flag and stable. The General Yang’s Mansion is balanced laid out and is grand and full of dignified atmosphere.
