There are more than one hundred rivers surrounding Beijing, all subordinate to five major river systems: Great Qinghe River, the Yongding River, the North Canal, the Chaobai River and Jiyun River, the upper reaches of which are mountainous and well-known for picturesque scenery, best places for outings as well as River Tracing.

Juma River is a tourist corridor about over one hundred kilometers long, along which there are Yesanpo National Scenic Area in Lai Shui , shidu scenic spot in Fangshan, Beijing and a section flowing through the city belonging to the upper reaches of Great Qinghe River. Along the way, canyon tactfully twists and turns; water is rcrystal clear to the bottomand the scenery is beyond words.
