Ningxia enjoys strong and typical Hui’s characteristics. Its mosques are unique in architecture, the local Hui ’ s snack food is delicious, their folk songs and dances are beautiful and charming, attracting more and more domestic and overseas tourists. About one and a quarter million Hui Muslims live in Ningxia. In the city of Yinchuan an Islamic school has been added in recent years. Communal prayers at mosques are held on every Friday.
