Black Tiger Springs
Black Tiger Springs
The Black Tiger Spring is located under the precipitous cliff on the south bank, at the east end of the south city moat. It was a natural cave with a huge black rock in front in ancient times. When the spring water beat the rock, it sounded like roar of a tiger. And because the huge rock looked like a tiger too, the spring got its name, “Black Tiger”. Then people built a pool with heads of three tigers on the wall in the North of the cave. The water runs through the underground channel into the mouth of the tigers pouring down into the pool.
There are 15 springs in this group, besides the Black Tiger Spring, it also includes the famous Pi-pa Spring, Baishi Spring, Agate Spring, Jiunv Spring, Wulian Spring, etc.
