As the popular saying goes, springs in Jinan occupy the first place in the world. With more than 100 springs, Jinan is famous for its springs, among which the Baotu Spring is known not only as the first one in Jinan but also as one of the four famous springs in China. The Baotu Spring is now one of the three major places of interest in Shandong Province.
Known as the First Spring under Heaven, the spring water spurts out in three prongs, with water  falling around, just like three piles of snow, which is very spectacular. The spring water is very sweet, optimum for making tea, which is limpid in color, rich in aroma, good in taste. Sitting under the "Watching Crane Pavilion" in the east side of the spring with a cup of tea in hand, one’s mind will fly faraway and hates to leave.

A foreign visitor said” Bao Tu Quan Park provided me with the best experience I’ve ever had in a park in China. It’s as if the soul of Chinese literature itself was breathing throughout the park, with natural springs as its gills. The park was the former home compound of Song Dynasty poetess Li Qing Zhao. The park contains a full museum devoted to her life and work, with placards in English and Chinese, and wax figures illustrating her childhood, marriage, and later years.

In addition to the poetry and history of Li Qing Zhao, the park is full of courtyards that guide you in and out of one another. Each one is devoted to a natural Chinese icon such as bamboo, plum, peach, crabtree, persimmon, or even the springs themselves. Therefore every courtyard inspires a different feeling, one that was carefully engineered by initiated feng shui masters!”

What’s more, the traditional and very popular Lantern Festival and Chrysanthemum Show are also held here every year, which greatly highlights the cultural significance and importance of this beautiful and very impressive scenic spot. There’s no doubt that visitor’s will be struck with this very memorable place.
