Morning drive 240km via Lhatse to Shegar (Dingri) which is the gate to Qomolangma Nature Preserve, accom at the simple but the best available guesthouse - Mt Everest Hotel (Zhufeng Binguan), prepare your body for tomorrows visit of Rongphu Monastery and the Base Camp

Drive to the Base Camp, visit the highest monastery of Tibet and the world as well- Rongphu Monastery (elevation 4980m) enroute. Enter the Mt Everest Preserve and struggle to the Everest Base Camp (elevation 5220m) which was first used by the 1924 British Everest expedition. Back to Shegar (Dingri) for the night.
